We will make the most of three full days, from Friday to Sunday, to visit Florence taking advantage of Firenzecard +, which will give us free access to seventy-six museums and sites of artistic interest. We will schedule some visits at agreed times, to avoid waiting queues and crowds, such as the Uffizi Gallery and Accademiadell’Arte, and we will visit other buildings and essential museums.
The views that appear in the itinerary are only a proposal, conditioned to the real time we have, depending on the delays, transfers from one place to another, time dedicated to each visit and the interest of the travelers. Therefore, the order and contents of the program may suffer variations, if for organizational and logistics needs it would be more advisable.
Our visit will focus mainly on the Renaissance Italy marked by the presence of the Medici, the construction of the Duomo and the short theocratic dictatorship of Savonarola.
It is foreseen that there will be at least one free afternoon, during which everyone will be able to visit what they want, thinking above all of those who have already been to Florence and want to visit new places, using the free access provided by Firenzecard +. For example, we suggest to the bravest that they venture to visit the Villa Careggi (now a hospital), where the Neoplatonic Academy run by Marsilio Ficcino worked.
The meeting place of the group and the end of the services provided will be our hotel in Florence. Those who arrive on Thursday at noon, may participate in a tour of the city, which will leave the hotel at approximately 3:00 pm, immediately after check-in.
The visits scheduled every day, will be from the time of opening of the museums on Friday, until its closing time on Sunday.
